Circle of Trust
Yesterday was a pretty tough day. Found out that my B-I-L’s father was diagnosed with cancer and needed to have a kidney removed. Also found out that one of my colleagues was having marital problems and needed to leave work to focus on his family.
Common message that bears repeating, don’t sweat the small stuff. Those things do not matter when faced with actual adversity. Be patient, be kind, don’t be an asshole, have a great day!
Naked Man Moleskin
This was my first Q since I injured myself last year. There are three Q’s that I distinctly remember 1) Muggsy BD in Naperville – blown out back 2)Dear Abby Colosseum baseball diamond – blown out back 3) John Denver at the Grove – blown out back. It was tough coming back from all of those injuries, even worse when your injury was self-inflicted at your last Q. I knew this would be a tough bridge to cross. Yesterday I saw that we still had a Q spot open for the Olympiad so I figured this was as good a time as any to give back, and I’m glad I did.
