Was expecting a small group today since there was a VQ going on at the Wood with Mr. Bean. We had 7 other PAX show up and we got some miles in.

The Thang

Simple out and back carrying some sandbags. I asked the PAX to throw some extra weight in their Ruck sack as we were just going to get some miles in today. We carried 2 40#bags and a 60#bag within the group. We switched up about every 1/4 mile so everyone could enjoy the suck.

Circle of Trust

Spoke about being strong and doing hard things not only for ourselves but also for our 2.0s. My daughter had a tough weekend and it carried over to Monday morning. She got stuck at school and was in a state where she just froze and felt like she could not get through her day. After working with the school I ultimately did what I did not want to do and that was to pick her up as she was an emotional mess. The following day we set up check points throughout her day at school to check in. She would send thumbs up texts throughout the day to let me know how she was doing and I would send back phrases such as” you got this”, “I believe in you”, “you can do hard things” etc. I would also follow them up with a picture of her from my phone of her smiling and doing something she enjoyed. It was the little reassurances that helped get her through the day when she was struggling and was looking for a way out. We are really good in F3 in reaching out and pushing our PAX to complete hard things and to push through. We need to carry over what we learn and do during our 1st F and carry that over into our everyday lives with our family, friends and coworkers. I know it made my daughters day and she will be better for it in the long run as I push her to be uncomfortable and get through hard things. F3 has taught us all we can do more than we think we can do, but we need to continue to share that gift not only with other PAX but also with our family. Continue to give this gift away in ALL aspects of our lives. AYE!

Naked Man Moleskin

Thanks to Foundation for picking up the 6 today even though he is not a ruck club regular. He does plan to get out and join our rucking culture so it was good to see him out of his comfort zone today. Meta and Flo continue to acceleration and it was good to see our newer PAX join in our rucking culture. Our regulars continued to set the pace and tone for the workout and embraced carrying some suck bags while engaging the group in some fun mummblechatter. All in all it was a great morning and we all got better.
