Introduction
Don’t get down to what some call the World’s Greatest AO that much so while Yellow Card trekked up North for an AOVQ, YHC trekked South! The beatdown was something YHC has been wanting to Q up. Borrowed from something I saw on F3 Naperville last year, it seems like this is something we could possibly implement at the biggening of the year or maybe after FNG has been in the gloom for a few weeks. Benchmark: a standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed. YHC was excited for the PAX to establish their benchmark.
Warm-O-Rama
Seeing we were at the supposed Greatest AO of the world, why not do the greatest warmup of all-time…the burpee. (If you’re paying attention, you may notice a trend) Had the PAX do 20 burpees OYO. Once finished hold squat until all finished. After all PAX completed, YHC took some time to go over the movements and a few key movement standards and then we moved into the THANG
The Thang
The THANG, a FIT TEST per se, consisted of 10 movements each performed for 2 minutes (max effort) followed by a 1-minute rest between each movement. The results were captured (thanks Squidward for recording the PAX efforts). Upon completion of the FIT TEST, we took a little mosey to cool down before reconvening at the flags to do a quick Mary (high plank). Noteworthy: The last test of which we would not have time to complete was to do a 20min run for distance and capture the results. YHC encouraged PAX to get that done soon. Thats all!
Circle of Trust
Squidward let all the PAX know whats going on in the world of F3 Plainfield. Thanks brother for that as well as having our 6!
TAPs went out! Lots of people going through much stuff!!!! Just love on everyone and be there for each other.
Naked Man Moleskin
YHC mentioned the WHY. WHY do we come out and do this? Asked a few PAX to come to the center and tell the group WHY they came out and WHY they continue to come out. As we found out; you never know what a man’s reason is for doing the things he does. Never hurts to ask, let others know, and hold each other accountable. When shit get difficult….Remind not only ourselves, but each other about that WHY! YHC closed out with….
Nothing Gets Better Until You Get Better! Stop Being Less! WHY? Because We Can’t Stay Here, We Will Fail If We Do!
Things that stuck out to me for this morning: 1) If you hear MEN grunting and not minimal mumblechatter during a workout then you know they’re putting in the work. 2) Love hearing MEN congratulate other MEN on their effort…even when it’s a OYO workout, it’s not always about you! 3) Every MAN has a WHY? Use it in every moment for motivation 4) Never forget or underestimate the impact you’re making on other MEN. Whether it be their first beatdown or their 900th. When you hear a MAN say I’ll never forget that moment….WOW!
