Introduction

An opportunity to grab a Q presented itself the day before the beatdown and just like the fictional cartoon character Quick Draw McGraw of The Quick Draw McGraw Show, I quickly rode in on my white horse, wearing a red cowboy hat, a red holster belt, and a light blue bandana and snatched the opportunity.  “I’ll do the ‘thin’in’ around here and don’t you forget it!” With my trusty sidekick a Mexican burro named Baba Looey (aka Fish Sticks) who was the six for this beatdown I was confident I wouldn’t accidentally shoot myself with my own six-shooter as a result of this unexpected Q.

After PAX completed the final set that consisted of 20 reps, we transitioned to

PAX were instructed that we were moving several sandbags, (two 40lb/two 60lb) bumper plates (4 plates, two 35lb/two 15lb), and a Big Boy Coupon to each of the three flags.  All equipment was moved to the first flag (required multiple trips).  Once all the equipment was at the first flag, the PAX could procced and move all equipment to the next flag.  Rinse/Repeat.

After completing several rounds of this equipment move, we transitioned to

Thang3

5 Merkins

10 Big Boys

15 Air Squats

PAX individually completed a total of 15 rounds (75 Merkins, 150 Big Boys, 225 Air Squats)

A final transition to Mary at 0555 where the PAX completed  JLOs, Leg Lifts, and Flutter Kicks

Circle of Trust

Fish Sticks highlighted a few announcements, but made it clear that the PAX should read the Info Only Channel on Slack so they’re aware of all that is going on.

YHC had a short message today.  First and foremost, I thanked the PAX for showing up and putting in the work.  Great effort by all.  Keep accelerating Men! I then briefly mentioned creating small habits, improving 1%, and how these little changes will result in big changes.

TAPS (Thoughts and Prayers) went out to several PAX family members.  Amen!

This was an unexpected Q and that can sometimes prove challenging especially when you have to throw something together last minute.  Sort of like life…Sometimes the unexpected happens.  In this case it wasn’t totally unexpected because I did sign up for the Q when it became available, but still it wasn’t on my radar for the week.  As with any Q, its always good to have multiple Thangs ready and as a result I was able to string several together in short notice.  If you’ve ever been to one of my beatdowns you can expect for us to go all out to the end.  Today, I threw something a little unexpected at the PAX, we did stargazers for the last 30 seconds, WHAT!  I know right!  Great job to the men that showed up in the gloom (we missed you Cyclone).  Keep Accelerating!
