Introduction
Signed up top Q this not realizing @Hitchhiker was doing his VQ at The Wood. Encouraged PAX to go support him unless that didn’t work with their schedule. Of course, YHC was pleased to see several PAX were going to enjoy a little running this fine morning with YHC!
Warm-O-Rama
Kicked off WOR hot and had PAX do 20 burpees OYO before we took a short mosey around the lot mixing in some lateral shuffles, buttkickers, high knees and zig zags (not sure what else to call them)
The Thang
THANG1 – A simple OYO 4X400 (run large part of parking lot area) with a 1-minute rest between sets. Goal was to increase pace as with each set. Upon completion, pickup the six
THANG2 – Plan was to use remaining time to do an out/back as a group down Leewood Drive and back. On of the PAX tweaked a knee so made the decision to just stay in the parking lot area and run the large lot until MARY
MARY – consisted of stretches and a 1-minute-high plank 🙂
Circle of Trust
@Pull-up handled the Announcements like a Pro and then YHC took the opportunity to talk about WHY…WHY do we get up early and come workout, WHY do we do hard stuff…YHC discussed his WHY and then asked each of the PAX in attendance to discuss their WHY. YHC made a point to have PAX focus on their WHY during times when you want to quit or when life gets difficult. If that doesn’t motivate you then maybe you need a new WHY?

Naked Man Moleskin
The first thing that stuck out is that @Hot Lava unexpectedly showed up and didn’t know this was a Run Club. In fact, after further review he HC’d for @Hitchhiker’s VQ at The Wood but showed up at The Colosseum. YHC was glad to see him though I’m fairly confident he wasn’t thrilled to know this was going to be a Run Club. Like a champ he and the rest of the PAX got some running in. After Hot Lava tweaked his knee during THANG 1, @Pull-up did what the 6 is supposed to do. We leave no man behind, but we leave no man where we find him. It was great to see PAX swapping out with Pull-up so that he could get some running in and the rest of us took advantage of the opportunity to get to know Hot Lava a little better. Great job by everyone.
