  • Last time talked about legacy today I want to talk about Bravery. I am proud of my kids for many reasons but 3 stand above the others.  Faith – the belief & pursuit of a relationship with Jesus; Family – their deep appreciation for their immediate & extended families through love/empathy; Bravery – maybe the things at their age I am most proud of; the willingness to get out of their comfort zone & experience sacrifice to be better. My son Mac & his rugby journey, my son Dane & his cheerleading journey, & my daughter Hadley in her cheerleading journey.  It reminds me of the King David story & his bravery.  A simple Shepard boy who stepped in front of all the powerful Israel army men & his brothers when nobody was willing to take on Goliath & said I will do it.  When told he would die & asked why he said b/c with anything God will give me the strength.  I try to teach my kids to fight like David no fear, no hesitation, only bravery.
