Introduction

The goal of this WoW is to introduce The Daily Red Pill (DRP) – The daily commitment to accelerate Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith. Was happy to see 17 others who pushed back on the post- Super Bowl hangover to come out in the Gloom. 

Warm-O-Rama

Mosey lap to check out each cone for the 2nd Thang. Did a series of:

-SSH

-Abe Vigodas

-Grady corns

-Good Mornings

The Thang

-This workout will have 2 stations: Take Coupons and travel to station 1 as a group.

 

*Station 1 will be the Blue Pill station. The Q will simply tell the Pax to perform 18 reps of 6 different exercises because it’s January 1st, and that’s their new year’s resolution. Q picks the 6 exercises to be performed. (10 min)

*Station 2 will be the Red Pill station. – Partner up and do this with another PAX. They will stay together, do the reps together, finish together. 

-Cones spaced out approximately 40 yards apart

-Starting line –  20 OH press, run to cone 1 and do 10 Burpees, Run back to start 30 SSH’s

– Starting line -20 Bent over rows, run to cone 2 and do 10 Burpees, Run back to start 30 SSH’s

– Starting line -20 Upright Rows, run to cone 3 and do 10 Burpees, Run back to start 30 SSH’s

– Starting line -20 Chest press, run to cone 4 and do 10 Burpees, Run back to start 30 SSH’s 

 

-14 Blockees

 

*Pick up the 6 when finished. 

 

We needed to fill some time so we added 11s of Hand-release Minnesota Mike Tyson merkins and Curls, bear crawling between parking spots.

Circle of Trust

The Daily Red Pill is the daily commitment to Accelerate Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith. A man needs help to GET RIGHT and pull himself out of perpetual Sad Clown Syndrome. Going at it alone, the mascot is doomed to fail because no man can disengage the death grip he holds on his own status quo. To get right the mascot must commit to actual movement, he must decide to turn PRO. The fully committed HIM is a PRO and is determined to be rather than nearly seem. He focuses on Preparedness absent any concern of how that appears to the world. Until the mascot turns PRO he will be ruled by emotional surges that result from lack of preparedness. He will make the same resolutions every December and break them in the same way every January. Because he is an Amateur he will start each day with the Blue Pill. No one is too far gone to Get Right. He can begin by returning his capsized boat to the upright position by taking the Red Pill – the daily commitment to accelerate. Each morning we face the decision to take the Blue Pill or the Red Pill. As you take the Red Pill acceleration happens from momentum and it becomes easier. You begin to lay down positive habits and more positive habits that form your guardrails that keep you on the right track to continue to accelerate your fitness, fellowship, and faith.

 

Neither fitness, nor fellowship, nor faith is exclusive to F3. All can be found elsewhere. However, I challenge anyone to establish a habit outside of F3 where all 3 are simultaneously sharpened should you choose to take the DRP.

Like the roots of the Giant Redwood tree (shout out to the PAX who about redwood trees in a previous CoT- this is not my original idea), the principles of F3 are the roots that stabilize us and allow us to grow to be giants as leaders, husband, and fathers. Committing to taking the DRP allows us to feed those roots and see that system of support and growth happen.
