Introduction

I remember last year checking the Q sheet a few weeks before reindeer games.  By this time despite being about 7 months into my F3plainfield journey,  i had established myself as a regular on the Q sheet.  I noticed the Q sheet was filling fast and it occurred to me that this was due to the games.  Not wanting to be left out. I grabbed my share.  One of the coolest things about being on Q during the games is the sheer amount of PAX that come to some workouts.  I remember in particular that the EBC before convergence was the biggest.  I made it a point to grab that one when it came up.    As we got towards the games this year, I was informed that while the Q sheet would be cleared that they would keep me on Q for this workout.  I am grateful for the opportunity to lead so many men.

Warm-O-Rama

Main idea here was to get everyone moving,  simmer down the mumble chatter and get through the paperwork.  Kept it simple with SSH, Motivators,  Imperial Walkers, Tie Fighters, and Michael Phelps.  No explanations needed.

The Thang

Circle of Trust

As a music teacher I have often gone to professional development.    Often times this can be boring or non-applicable.  But when I choose something that I am interested in,  it can actually be overwhelming the wealth of information they offer.

Often times people will say about reindeer games,  “it’s just a game and the points don’t count.”  I don’t like this statement at all.  It matters,  there was a purpose behind it.  The games and the incentives within serve to motivate us towards that purpose.

I encouraged the PAX to set one goal or find one thing about reindeer games to carry forward.  If they post 8 times a week during the games,  this is not sustainable.  However retaining a concept like regular EC running is.  Find that one nugget or thing and continue it.

Naked Man Moleskin

Nothing to me is more powerful than 61 guys kneeling in prayer saying an our father and kneeling in prayer.  It was an honor to be in that moment.
