Introduction
10 PAX learned to WIN THEIR FIGHT with a warrior fight club BOOTCAMP with 7 rounds of shadow boxing combinations mixed with a full body PT exercises.
Warm-O-Rama
Warm-o-Rama consisted to exercises to warm the body; specifically the legs hips and arms as these areas saw the most action today. Exercises included: Imperial Walkers, Arm Circles, Good Mornings, Tappy Taps.
The Thang
10 rounds of boxing and PT. The Thang was grouped into 3 sets of 3 rounds with a final fight at the end.
Each round consisted of 2 shadow boxing rounds with a 30 second burnout at the end of the second. The third round rotated through 3 exercises doing each one twice each for 30 seconds AMRAP.
The boxing rounds focused first on stationary punches throwing jabs, crosses and hooks. PAX learned how to engage their core and their hips to throw a powerful punch.
Next footwork was incorporated so the PAX can learn to control distance and move around.
Finally footwork and existing punches were combined with some different combinations with a 1 minute burnout.
Exercise rounds focused 1 round each on shoulders/arms, lower body, and chest/glutes.
The final round had PAX squaring off facing each other in full burnout mode.
Circle of Trust
The COT focused on the need for men to be capable of violence but be able to restrain it. Essentially be dangerous but don’t use it unless you have to. That capability gives one confidence. All men should have some sort of fight training whether it be boxing, ground fighting or traditional martial arts.
Part of our roles as men is that of protection which may mean the need to fight but also involves having the confidence and intelligence to know when to walk or run away.
Naked Man Moleskin
Check out the song, “to be a man” by Dax. It hits hard.
