Introduction
It all started with a Ruck Club that actually was a bootcamp Q’d by the Worm himself. Bob Villa and I had been talking online. I was looking for some early morning workout options for my wife. She seemed mired in the mediocrity of nothing since her beloved Barre3 had become more challenging and more expensive.
I had been tracking F3 online for awhile. Durng COVID and immediately after, they posted more often on facebook with daily reports of beatdowns and runs. I remember at one point no even knowing what the word PAX meant.
After complaining that my wife just wasn’t being agreeable. Bob Villa finally said, “Let’s take care of the leader of the house.” My reply, “Now you’re speaking my language.”

The Thang
Take off rucking heading to the park bridge. A stop at the fork in the road for Imperial Ruckers(Imperial Walkers with the Ruck) keeping rucks off we then Poopy baby carried our rucks to the bridge where we put them on our laps while doing a wall sit by the bridge. We then headed Southwest to the loop in the darkness. So often we head towards settlers park. I thought this would be a nice change.
After rounding the loop we did a combination of Rucking and Ruffling back to the flags with 4 minutes to spare for Mary.
Mary was Big boys, Heel taps, American Hammers and Leg lifts.
Circle of Trust
I have always been built on affirmation. When I was young I was affirmed when I showed a tendency towards teaching. Years later, 20 years into my career, that affirmation is not enough and I hate my career. I no longer have the drive to be better and I don’t believe in the mission anymore, those pointing that compass have gotten loss as our schools fail. F3 is very affirming, however and I find myself challenging myself to be a better communicator, because I believe in the mission. I believe any organization that preaches personal and community growth and backs it up, is sustainable.
