Circle of Trust
Don’t wait until it’s too late.
It’s been two months since Homer Simpson challenged us to get in touch with someone we haven’t talked to as much as we wanted to. For me, that’s my dad. I realize every time I see him, it could be the last. And I know it’s even more likely for my daughters because I only see them every couple weeks.
I saw him this weekend for the first time in six months. And I’ve talked to him more this past two months than I had in a long time—because of Homer’s challenge.
And then I heard about Hunter, the Minooka high schooler who died last week and I can’t imagine how many people wish they could’ve had one more day with him.
So, the message is in part how grateful I am that Homer laid down that challenge. And second, don’t wait until it’s too late. Now is a great time to try again.
