Warm-O-Rama

Good Mornings, Tappy-taps, Abe Vigodas, Arm Circles-forward and backward, Motivators (6) and Calf Stretch.

The Thang

Ruck with a 30# and 60# sand bags.  Sand bags were at the front to set the pace. To keep the sand bag toters fresh, the bags were were handed off to another PAX after approximately 100-150 steps.  All carried each bag 4-6 times, except for Babymomma.

We took a course out of the parking lot, over Mt. Wood, between the tennis courts and up the road toward the Village Hall.  Turned around after 20 minutes and followed the same course back with an extra lap around Mt Hood for the breathtaking scenery of the corn field.

Ended back in the parking lot with a little core work that included Dolly’s, High Dolly’s and LBC’s.

Attitude – by Charles Swindoll

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearances, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company… a church… a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.

Naked Man Moleskin

Before I read the paragraph, I told the Pax to imagine a guitar and that the guitar only had one string.  Then I read the paragraph.  Then I emphasized that they can make beautiful music with that one string.  Finally, I told them that it is physiologically impossible to be happy and angry at the same time.  I shared that when I am driving and another driver does something stupid, rather than yell in my car or get upset, I smile and say “Happy New Year”, which is kind of funny in the middle of July.  That’s how I make a conscious choice to control my attitude.
