I want to start with this quote “Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.”

The effect that our mindset has over our life is so huge.  I was a negative thinking guy for so long during the years of depression.  I have pulled myself out of the depression over the last several years and try to keep focusing on the positive.  I’m not always perfect and my guard slips leading to Foundation pity party land but I am aware of the signs of my bad habits and can pull myself back on track.

I started letting things get me down again lately.  Insanely busy at work, living month to month financially, got sick over the weekend, basically different versions of everyday bullshit.  I pulled myself out of Foundation Pity Party Land and decided to do something.  Main change was I stopped focusing on what wasn’t happening and start doing something.  I reached out to a few local gyms and asked if they were hiring a part time personal trainer.  One of them came back with that they need a bootcamp instructor in the early morning a few days a week.  We talked and they will call in a few weeks when they are ready and we will finalize it.  I get my first break into a real gym as a trainer, make extra cash towards bills, can still keep doing my Monday night gig at the Park district , and they are fine with my normal job and occasional travel.  Good things happened when I stopped focusing on what wasn’t happening and being negative.

I want you is to think about if you find yourself focusing on the things that don’t happen in your life.  If you are always focusing on these things, then the challenge is to think up what is would take to make whatever the thing was happen.  Come up with plan.  Now if you really want it then start the plan.  Do it.
