The Thang
1st – one partner stayed at one end of lot – 10 curls, 10 dips and 10 LBCs rinse and repeat until partner returned. The trip across the land of misfit toys involved a bear crawl for the first leg between cones about 50 feet apart then continued on running to the far end of the lot for 10 air squats and run back to the cone where you ended bear crawls and then lunge walked back to beginning and then switch out with your partner. Rinse and repeat
2nd thang – partner one farmer carry across narrow section of lot side to side while other ran a triangle across the parking lot and whoever got to the station first did merkins and then they switched and then they mirrored the route they just did
Circle of Trust
For my COT, I want to start with this quote “Happiness comes from within and is found in the present moment by making peace with the past and looking forward towards the future.”
I heard this one when I was going through a lot of the not so fun stuff last year or two with the divorce, Dad’s passing and ongoing stuff with my first ex wife. I saw how true this quote is and you really can’t be happy in the present if you are still dragging around negative thoughts like resentment. Revenge and resentment is like drinking poison trying to kill the other person. All it does is hurt you. I became complacent in my focus on acceleration in my mindset and such. Just because I worked through a lot of shit over that time doesn’t mean stop working on it. Like we say in F3, there is no such thing as maintaining. You’re either accelerating or you’re decelerating. I realized I have been decelerating in my focusing on my positive mindsets and outlook lately and in turn I started letting the negative thoughts take control at times. I have guardrails in place such as Heather and friends to talk to. I have had a very stressful past few weeks and found myself starting to go down the rabbithole of negative thoughts. The other day I caught myself and meditated which helped me to clear my head and reboot. No matter what happens. You’ll get through it and it will pass and be where it belongs. In the past. Behind you. I am refocusing on being fully present in the now and just appreciating it and enjoying it.
My challenge to you as we enter into the Christmas holiday weekend is to be present to those around you and the now. Enjoy it. It is the only today that you will have. Tomorrow will be a unique new day.
