Introduction
Thursdays Black Diamond will be at the Wood. You will need your Coupon and shoes for grass. Everything will be about Doubt vs. Belief. I believe you will all be able to do this so LFG!!!! I will be there early for EC stretching. Hard Start at 5. H.C. in the Thread Below….
(I have been motivated a lot lately with juxtaposing the concepts of Doubt and Belief).

Thang 1
Grady Corns Oyo during explanation
Blockee Riffle ladder from the ball field to Running Path – (path around Mt. Wood) Around ¼ Mile. Active Recovery with Grady Corns oyo, 10 Tempo Jacks (IC), Coupon Mosey to the base of Mt. Wood, Men Partner up 5 Grady Corns, 10 Tempo Jacks (IC), 20 Toe Curls.
Thang 2 – Partner Dora
Partner 1 (We ran this together the first time so that no one was confused. Sparker’s suggestion and a good one at that. Thank you)
Run up a 1/3 – Regular Burpee at first cone.
Run up a 1/3 – Tokyo 2 Count Burpee, 2nd cone
At top 3 Merkin Burpee (Contra Burpees ascending up then jog back to coupons.)
Coupon mosey to the Base of the hill for Exercise modeling (skipping Blockees) , do 5 of every movement together.
Partner 2 starts….. until 1 can relieve

With 9 minutes left we lined up facing the jogging path around Mt. Wood. We did some Grady Corns, some “RedBull Smurf Jacks”, some Toe Curls, sprinted to the top of Mt Wood. Did more RB Smurf Jacks, moseyed back to Coupons and began Blockee Aerators to the jogging path (70 yards of Blockees and throwing your coupon) At path we did the same exercises GC, RBSJ, and TC’s. After the Curls, we Curl Carried down the path to the road and coupon Moseyed back to the flags. We had two minutes at the flags. At flags we John Cusacked the blocks as a resting position and did a 5 Count OHP ring of fire. We did 1 extra together for 6 o’clock.
Circle of Trust
This was a Thematic Beatdown. I love to teach this way so it makes sense for me to Q, similarly. F1, Doubt vs. Belief was the theme of the workout. F2, The music and constructive and collective shouting at people to keep pushing was to instill belief and also with the hope that there were moments of doubt in the minds of those Men there that they would have to persevere through. (Music was Eminem, as being an unlikely person in a space that many said he didn’t belong which he had to overcome and Linkin Park all songs featuring Chester Bennington.) One of them crushed doubt while the other, unfortunately gave into it. FInally F3,…. I asked the Men that HC’d to consider what they do to replace doubt with hope and belief. Everyone shared during CoT
The head and the heart are negative when you are filled with doubt. The opposite of doubt is belief. The only positivity comes from belief. I am injured. I pulled a hamstring pretty good and can’t get it right. I also worry that I might have early signs of Sciatica. Either way, it doesn’t matter. I am a runner that can’t run. A big part of my identity is gone. As the Diamond Q approached, I know I had doubt, and decided that is exactly what I would talk about. I also realized I must replace this mindset.
When my world gets really chaotic, I calm the chaos by listing. I put all of the things I must do on paper. When I look at everything in front of me it starts to calm the chaos. It is the best feeling in the world to cross off things from my personal punch list. Sparkler told me the exact opposite. He said listing would be overwhelming, to him, and that it is easier for him to keep it all in his head. We are exact opposites in this regard.
The theme sort of shifted a little bit to doubt = failure. Everyone talked about failure as a necessity for growth and doubt can’t exist as long as you are not afraid to fail. In fact, if you’re not failing every now and then, it’s a pretty good chance, you aren’t at all pushing yourself, attempting anything new or creative.

When I explained how far we were going to travel with a Coupon and what a Blockee Aerator was Millville swore under his breath…. It made my morning.
The beatdown was hard. Everyone showed up and put in the work. Was and still am proud of this Diamond and the effort from everyone.
