Introduction
As Chum Bucket and I pulled up to the AO this morning we had to do a quick pivot because of lightning ⚡️ in the area. I had planned to be by the track to tie up sport cords and such but Mother Nature must not have liked that idea. Nonetheless we went under the awning by the school doors.
Warm-O-Rama
Arm circles, SSHs, Michael Phelps, Tricep stretch, Post capsule stretch.
The Thang
Went through several exercises Tabata style today that targeted the rotator cuff (4 muscles), the trapezius, serratus anterior, and the rhomboids. Split into two groups where one group used sport cords and one group used pavers. There were two partner exercises mixed in as well targeting those specific muscle groups. I provided education and diagrams along the way for pax to reference and learn about this group of muscles. We burned ‘em up and hopefully guys learned some along the way.
Circle of Trust
Benjamin Franklin once stated, Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn. I wanted pax today to know what some of these exercises felt like and to know where they were with the associated function. On top of that the message is to keep learning. There are so many things out there to learn about and educate yourself. Over the past few years I have studied anatomy and other things more again as I have forgotten some things as the years have gone by. I wanted to stay passionate about my field while continuing to push my knowledge further in this area. Keep learning!
Naked Man Moleskin
Great morning today despite the weather. I had fun and I hope the Pax did too while learning a few things along the way.
