Topic: The Strenuous Life

Quote: “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Thoughts: In 1899 Theodore Roosevelt gave a speech in Chicago titled “The Strenuous Life” in which he detailed his admiration for the MEN of Chicago who were invigorated by challenges and through the virtue of their hard work created lives full of value. I believe that the F3 MEN of Plainfield exemplify the principals found in The Strenuous Life. We challenge ourselves every morning in the gloom to push harder and become stronger both mentally and physically. I encouraged PAX to embrace the strenuous life outside of the gloom. Whether for work, our families or our communities seek out challenges and do the hard work of living.

Big shout out for to Mr. Belding, Scat, Boiler UP and Foreclosure for enduring the cold winds long enough to have some mumble chatter over a cup coffee. #blackriflecoffee
