I explained that some of these results don’t come easy. There’s much determination, persistence and grit involved. I likened it to a pair of running shorts. If you stretch the waist band to its normal range, they’ll snap back to their original shape. Stretch them past their capacity and they won’t go back. If you asked me 5 years ago if I would run 4 miles a day for 14 days straight, run a13.1 mile ½ marathon, sign up for a GTE and Ragnar, I would have said absolutely not.

I shared some words that I read from a post Aladdin shared yesterday…

“Good morning men. I started my new book yesterday and I’m still drinking my gallon a day. Mon-Fri I follow a no carb diet. I’m still working out everyday for the most part. Here and then I rest on Sundays. I’m not currently on 75Hard however the habits from last year have carried on which I believe is the entire purpose of the challenge. My next physical goal is in two weeks in my attempt to run a marathon for RoadTrips birthday.

A Mascot brings the same Amateur approach to his proper personal alignment. Instead of organizing his time around the daily grind required to work out his imperfections, he just shows up and reacts emotionally to his circumstances. For him Preparedness is something he never seems to be able to fit around his “real” life when in fact the Get Right is his real life.

Until the Mascot turns Pro he will be ruled by the emotional surges that result from his lack of Preparedness for the expected and unexpected Events of his life. He will make the same resolutions every December and break them in the same way every January. Because he is an Amateur he will start each day with the Blue Pill and live a life of seeming rather than being.”

Are you a Mascot? What are doing to turn Pro?

Ended with a prayer 🙏

I don’t think the PAX were ready for a 2+ mile pearls on a string beatdown at TW on a Tuesday. I wanted to get them out of their comfort zone, embrace the suck and push themselves to a new personal level. Xerox didn’t enjoy it. I think he called me a prick. That is all
