  • What legacy are you building? I recently read this post from Jerome Bettis, “Before my Dad dropped me off at Notre Dame, he told me something that stuck with me forever.  I don’t have money to give you, but I have a name. Don’t mess that up.  I didn’t understand it at 18. But years later, when I saw fans wearing my jersey, I got it. Our reputation isn’t just ours, it’s something we carry for the people who came before us. Protect it.” It stuck with me b/c of a conversation we had yesterday at our Bible Study group about who you are mentoring/discipling. First, it is important to remember who discipled us for most that was our parents & how we honor them is important but maybe even more important is who we are discipling after us, our kids. Your name & reputation will carry on through your kids & are you leading in the right way in your homes so that your kids carry on your name & reputation that have lived for generations beyond you, all the way back to your Sky Q.  My challenge is do an inventory of how you are leading at home & what you can do to have more impact to build that legacy.  Aye!
