Introduction
Shortly after arriving to the AO. Ozark drove up to get the famous Ozark coffee brewing. Firehose and Yellow Pages, Lockport Folks, showed up shortly after. Betty Crocker and Gamecock got in safely from their commute to the eastern most AO in Plainfield. I talked a bit with Ozark about 1 thing that needed to happen, Cowbell got in and we started promptly at 5:15.
I wanted to lead this BD right at the, in YHC’s humble opinion, at the Greatest AO, the Greatest Potential, the Greatest Scenery, and the park with the Greatest Hill which also happens to be an AO.

The Thang
Thang 1:
Indian Run around AO with Burpee stops at Locals within the Griz I wanted to talk about. First Indian Run out to the stairs to talk about the steepest sledding hill in Will County that had to got a fence put through it. Ran down stairs for burpees and back up for burpees. As we ran back up the hill I recalled how you had to lean back going sledding down the hill because it was so steep you would pancake at the bottom after the vertical decline became flat. Ran back down stairs to continue Indian Run. Indian Ran through the forrest. Back at the bottom of the steep hill I shared stories from my Grandfather about taking the street car to Dellwood park to go to the Amusement part of the park. They used to use the damn to flood the lower basin for paddle boat rides. It is why the lagoon and massive bridge in this area exists. Indian Ran back to coupons and flags to begin Thang 2. One of the flags had fallen. We replanted the flags and did burpees for the fallen flag. Began Thang 2.
Thang 2
Partnered up and carried bricks out to the current sledding hill which is the stand alone hill by the fitness center and DPCC. We carried coupons the 1/4 mile via farmers carry. One partner farmer carried while other partner did 10 Copper Head Air Squats to catch and relieve the farmer carry parter. We held squat until 6 got to the base of the hill. Upon all men arriving at the base of the hill we got moved to the top of the hill. Mode of travel was the Bernie Sanders (Could be Barry Sanders). At the top of the hill we did 10 smurf jacks to complete burning the legs. We ran down the hill to retrieve our Coupons. Back up the hill via Riffle Carry /John Cusacks. At the top of the hill all men circled up and passed half of our coupons around the circle in the style of American Hammers/Kettle Ball passing. We rose to our feet for 21s. We Coupon Curled and then held our blocks out for resistance work. All men ran around the inside of the circle to push down the blocks.
We Mosey’d down the hill to Indian Run with coupons back to the flags for Mary. Upon returning a flag had fallen so we did burpees again to honor the flag.
Began Mary with 10 down and up Merkins. Continued with Captain Thors. Did 7. Ended with Merkin ring of fire. Did 5.
Circle of Trust
COT. Was about leadership…. I began by talking about leadership usually being something that is about actions and then pivoted to the main point which was about words. I recognized the importance of being deliberate about the words that you choose and how rhetoric can either be used as something that is divisive or inclusive. I do not want to be associated with words that are used to divide. I mentioned that I do feel that the Griz has many elements that make it the greatest park in our chapter of F3 and then I talked about F3 Southside, F3 Naperville, and the rest of Plainfields AO’s and tried to talk about what was great about all of them. Greatness is a state of mind and ended by challenging men to find what makes them great and asked reiterated the importance of choosing your words wisely.
Naked Man Moleskin
The flags fell more times than they should of so we did more burpees than I intended. Thanks to all men that came out.
Respect!
