Circle of Trust

With my fathers health news coming in not so favorable, it has slapped our family in the face in regards to time. We are all living on borrowed time, and one day that time runs out.

To remind me how little time we have, and to try my best to make the most of it, I ordered a Momento Mori life calendar. Momento Mori is Latin for – Remember you must die. It’s simply a calendar with little circles, and each circle represents a week of your life. If you make a calendar lifespan of say 80 years, you will have about 4160 circles.

It’s unreal once you see this visualization right in front of you, and could easily be viewed with a depressive lens, or an optimistic one. You can complain there’s not much time left, or you can do your best to make every circle count! My intentions are for the latter.

So my message is to focus on the things that matter, and try your best to make the best of your time. It’s also a lot easier said then done right? We are humans after all, imperfect creatures with lots of flaws, but all we can do is our best. So focus on the shit that matters, and remember: One week gone, is one less unshaded circle left, so make those dots count.

Naked Man Moleskin

I need to work on my cadence counts during the warm up, went a little to quick, and forgot some of my counts, but the pax took over and I corrected. Thank you.

Special thanks to Schlitz for taking over the 6 because Algorithms car battery died and he couldn’t come. As well as a big thanks for coming out during the subzero temps and doing the hard shit together.
