Introduction

Well, as they say sometimes – it was a run club. Depends, Singer, and Just Dance decided to get some extra miles in and the 4 or so wouldn’t be enough and they decided to do an EC6. What a perfect start to a beautiful morning.

Warm-O-Rama

Warm-O-Rama was brief so we had time to get the miles in. We did Tappy Taps, Willie Mays Hayes, Harry Rockets, and Calf Stretch. After that we got into the run.

The Thang

There were two separate routes that the PAX could take. Both started near the flags at the Olympiad. We went through the neighborhood and shot down Wesmere and took that all the way to Caton Farm Road. From there, we all went west. The split came at a trail that cut through at an angle towards Drauden. PAX could choose to go down the trail if they wanted. Otherwise, you would run past the trail and head south on Drauden. Everyone would go East on Theodore and back to the Olympiad. If you finished early you would turn back and pick up the 6. Depending on the route it was about 3.25 miles or 4 miles.

Circle of Trust

The CoT was about appreciating the small things. The small things in life often go unnoticed while you have them but you can notice them when they’re gone. Whether it’s sitting drinking coffee in the morning, or getting up early to workout, make sure you appreciate them.

I referenced my mom who recently had brain surgery. My focus was on her, but there were many small things that went away while she was in the hospital and recovering. My kids couldn’t see her, they weren’t being babysat by her which they love, and I wasn’t in my normal routine with work as a result.

Naked Man Moleskin

Keep pushing, everyone. Every day you are complacent with where you’re at, you’re trading in immediate comfort for a better version of yourself.
