First of all, I want to thank the PAX that joined me this morning. I’m sure most of you have already heard that I’ll be having my partial knee replacement surgery done this Wednesday and it was a tough decision to make on proceeding with the surgery. I’ve been both excited and nervous about having it done, but the pain has just been increasing almost every day since July and it’s time. I’ve had family, friends, and fellow PAX ask me, why do I keep coming out if it hurts so much, the truth is that I’ve been dealing with this pain for over 8 years. 6 years ago, when I had my ACL replaced for the 3rd time the doctor recommended having my femur shaved down due to the arthritis and bone on bone condition, and honestly it did not sound too appealing, so I declined his suggestion. Since I’ve joined F3, my health has improved significantly, every year, when I have my annual physical done, and I see my PCP, he walks in with my results, points at me, and asks, are you still doing F3? I say yes! And his response is, keep doing it!
I just had my EKG done last week, and honestly, I had no idea what the test results meant, so I googled some of the numbers, and just to give you an idea, some of the normal ranges are between 60 to 100, well in several of my results I was at 59. Concerned, I immediately looked up what that meant, only to find that “ATHLETES” have ranges closer to the 40-50 range, so that means I’m an ATHLETE! Hahaha
In all seriousness, I’m not a doctor and am not giving medical advise but if I were to stop posting because I listened to my body for every little nagging pain I’d never be out here. I push through the pain because my overall health continuous to improve AND because I love posting with all of you. So I recommend some of you also do the same.
These next couple of weeks are really gonna suck and I’m really going to miss all of you. I know there are 2nd F events that I could attend but honestly it’s not the same as being out here and doing hard shit with you guys.
Naked Man Moleskin
Outstanding work from Mr. Kotter and Dilly Dilly, they are like machines out there.
Also as we wrapped up and were leaving, Otto Man shared something with me that meant a lot to me and I truly appreciated.
