I Bet I Can Make One Round of 11’s Last an Entire Workout

Introduction

First really crappy day of the year.  Cold and windy.  Had a little crust on the pavement so needed to be careful.

Grab blocks and mosey to the upper parking lot.

The Thang

Thang 1 – 11’s Blockees and Big Boys – The two sides were 6 parking spaces apart.  To move back and force between the PAX shuffled the outline of the parking spaces and did an air squat at each corner.  This ends up being 14 air squats between each side times 2 times 10 (280 air squats over the course of the thang).  I split up the group onto different sides of the parking lot so we wouldn’t be bunched up.  This worked well.  Group got into a rhythym and it flowed well.

Mary was about 3 minutes of ACDC Thunderstruck with Merkins.

Circle of Trust

I let PAX know that the Circle of Trust is the Q’s time to talk about anything that they want.  In our region we have a very well established routine of sharing a story or inspirational message followed by a prayer.  This is great but don’t every feel like you have to follow this pattern.  We ended there and had a moment of silence which was awesome.  The sound of wind in otherwise silence.

Naked Man Moleskin

I had two thangs ready to roll.  I totally underestimated the time it would take to finish thang 1 with the shuffling and air squats.  It turned out to be almost a perfect 35 minute thang for everyone to finish.  Those that finished early picked up the six.

Those that have come to my Q’s know that Sirius XM Lithium Workout channel is my go to about 85% of the time.  Their playlist was particularly rocking on this Friday morning.  Not sure why that sticks out in my head.
