Introduction
Picked up this Q a couple weeks ago not knowing if be running a ton in a BD the morning before and another run heavy evening at El Coyote.. This morning I was nervous I was going to fatigue out. Head down and ran. Despite tired legs and lungs, as well as the THICK humidity. Excited seeing 19 HCs for my Q, I’ve been having good numbers for RCs/BCs that I’ve been stepping up to Q. That really boosts the confidence!
Warm-O-Rama
A little long on the warm ups, especially since the majority of PAX just returned from ECR of more then 3 miles.
Daisy pickers, good mornings( should have been in cadence, did on my down), calve stretch, Willie Mays Hayes, Imperial Walkers.
The Thang
We took off north to Forestview Way, right, straight across down the hiking path to Heggs, across and right to 135th, left and continued to Meadow. Turned around at Meadow and used same way back to flags. It ended up being roughly 4.20 miles. A couple had more for going back for picking up the 6..
Circle of Trust
Opened up about the continued anxiety I get the overnight before a Q. A fear of not being tough enough, messing something up, screwing up disclaimers, etc.. My sleep is consistently horrible leading up to the morning. The PAX gave AAR during this time to give me continued encouragement, and remind we all mess up at one point, but the fact we step up and Q is huge in itself.
I openly prayed for our troops. Our F3 & FiA families, the nation and how it seems some teens are just behaving ridiculous in society.
Naked Man Moleskin
It seemed most of us were gassed.. definitely wet n sweaty! We sweat our butts off. Dauber paced Villa and ended up with a PR! I hung right with them until the turn around.. Good morning it was. Glad to be with and thankful to every single man who was there this morning. The push, encouragement, and support is amazing. Thanks guys.
