Circle of Trust

This past weekend my family and I had arrived at my daughter’s soccer game quite early. While waiting in the car we saw around 10-15 geese landing in the empty field in front of us. Most of the geese began eating except for two who positioned themselves on each side of the flock, at attention keeping a lookout for the rest. Moments later two coyotes began trotting across the opposite side of the field. One went all the way across the field while the other very slowly trotted across eyeing the geese. Looking back at the geese I noticed 2 additional birds sprang to attention. With 4 geese on full alert the coyotes decided to head towards the flock. They made it within 50 yards when the geese decided to fly away. Immediately after, one of the coyotes made it’s way towards a wooded area and the other took off across the field. We looked across the field to where the coyote was running and saw a third coyote. When the third coyote saw the first one coming at him, he took off. They bolted across the field and the street. Coyote number one ran off the third coyote and moseyed back to its friend in the woods.

The geese had each other’s six. The coyotes had each other’s six. Pick up your six and always have your brothers back.
