Circle of Trust
I want to start with this quote “In complacency and self-satisfaction, lies a slow descent into mediocrity.”
In Q-source, we talk about that there is only accelerating or decelerating. There is no such thing as maintaining. This is so true and relates to any part of our life. From a fitness standpoint, think about a past time when you set a goal and then hit that goal. I know that I’ve done this many times where I hit the goal like running the marathon or whatever and then there is that time after where I haven’t set another milestone to work towards and think I’m maintaining but it is really just decelerating. The same can go for diet. I hit my original goal weight in 2021 and then thought I was maintaining but really was sliding back into bad habits and decelerating. I had become complacent with my diet at the tailend of marathon training last year and started eating more unhealthy foods than I should’ve and the scale didn’t show it until after I stopped running 40 miles a week. I gained 10 pounds by Thanksgiving and then decided to accelerate in my diet again. My weight is almost back to what it was last summer. Eating healthy and mostly vegetarian as well. It goes for relationships and careers as well. Becoming complacent is a big obstacle to fulfilling your potential in all areas of your life.
My challenge to you is to reflect today on a few areas of your life and ask yourself if you are accelerating or decelerating in that area. Fitness? Relationships? Work?
Aye?

Good mornings cadence was too fast during warm ups
