Introduction
Got 3 dozen Paczki’s from donut den. Thanks to sparkler and chum for pitching in to split those. Got to the AO for an EC2 with Sparkler a bit early. There was some lightening but it wasn’t too close or dangerous looking.
workout was a BD run/pearls at the joliet library.
Warm-O-Rama
We got right after it as the 5 core principles and safety procedures were said on a mosey to black road.
The Thang
Once we hit the light at back road we started on an Indian run headed west towards hammel woods. We stoped at the first small walkway bridge to do Mike Tyson’s and then bear crawl across the bride.
Indian run continues to big bridge over rt55. Stopped at bridge for partner hill sprint races while pax held plank for 10 seconds.
Indian ran over bridge then headed under the bridge. By now lightening and heavy rain were a thing. We did lunges and wall sits for 2-3 min. We started back on the trail towards the next pavilion. Lightening struck and we pivoted to the dog park under the closest pavilion. It was an extremely lose lightening strike. We stayed under the pavilion for some squats, burpees, Dirkins, worlds greatest stretches, lunges. Things seemed better so we left and went back to under the bridge.
from there we did some Catalina burpee centipede fun for 2 rounds and some more wall sits. We then started back over the big bridge for more partner hill races and wall sits. We eventually made it back to the library via Indian run. We took some cover and did Mary work until 6.
Circle of Trust
Mardi Gras actually means Fat Tuesday. Not all of us were aware of this. Encouraged pax to find some time to share a meal with loved ones and make lasting relationships and lasting moments.
Naked Man Moleskin
We went to the pavilion and had several paczki’s and coffee. Also we were all thankful to survive the wild lightening strikes that got sketchy for a bit. What a soaked rainy day. Of course before and after the workout no. Ore rain or lightening.
