Introduction
I arrived onsite around 4:30 to set up the stations for the workout and then did an EC run at 4:45. Weather was awesome this morning.

The Thang
DORA workout – One station in parking lot at the end of the path that leads to the pavilion and one at the pavilion.
One partner runs down to pavilion and does 10 dips and runs back and they switch
Other partner stays doing exercises. Keep going where your total number of exercises were when you switch
100 shoulder presses
120 merkins
140 curls
160 bent over rows
180 air squats
200 LBCs
When you get to the end start over and repeat
Circle of Trust
For my COT, I wanted to start with two definitions of atrophy.
The first definition is the one that always comes to mind for me,
-The wasting away of body tissue or an organ especially as a result of degeneration of cells. Example: Without exercise, your muscles will atrophy
The other definition is the gradual decline in effectiveness due to underuse or neglect.
I want to talk about this second definition. One area that a lot of people lack in is to be kind to others. Today’s society and status quo is so driven by how much you have accumulated or possessions you. The average sad clown gets caught up in the idea of me, me ,me and sees kindness almost as a weakness and being taken advantage of. When we practice kindness towards other people, we can experience positive impacts to ourselves as well. Being kind to others can lower our stress levels and increase the body’s “feel good” hormones such as dopamine. Being kind to others allows for deeper relationships with others. The world would be a better place if everyone made a point to try to practice kindness in their daily life and be less focused on themselves.
My challenge to you today is to do a simple single act of kindness today without wanting anything in return. It doesn’t have to be earth shattering and can be as simple as opening the door for someone or maybe asking your M how her day went and if there is anything that you could do to help her or just tell her something that you appreciate what she did today. Then, try and do two acts of kindness tomorrow. Pretty soon it will become a habit. Anyone has the ability to change the world and it starts with one simple act of kindness.
