Circle of Trust

Right after the workout, we were going to have our final discussion about the 8 block goal planning tool.  I shared with the group that I’ve done this exercise 3 times now.  The first year I didn’t last very long with my commitments.  I lost track within the first 3 months.  Last year we formed an accountability group that meet weekly.  This really helped until this fell off in June.  I came back to it a couple of times during the year but did not maintain the same level of commitment that I had earlier in the year.  That said it still was progress.

This year obviously the goal is to keep this going the whole year.  I think this is a really valuable exercise as it is something that you can have with you at all times to help recenter yourself as you go through peaks and valleys throughout the year.  We have a limited amount of time and energy and as you go through life and things are pulling you away from your most important people/goals, the 8 block can help you continue to aim your arrows at the bullseye.

So how am I going to stay on track this year?  I mentioned the accountability group from last year.  I plan on doing this again but monthly instead of weekly.  I think this will be much more sustainable.  Last year I printed mine 8 block off and used it as a bookmark in my Q Source book.  I’m not saying that I looked at it every week prepping for Q Source but it was there as a consistent reminder. I will do this again.  I also will keep a monthly scoreboard of my 8 block commitments by highlighting each green, yellow, and red depending on how well I feel like I have achieved the goal.

At the end, I encouraged everyone at the workout to attend the Q Source 8 block discussion afterwards.

Naked Man Moleskin

Loved the push by Webster today.  He did a great job with his form and pushing his fitness.  Carpet Mulcher was a beast this morning.  Thanks to Betty Crocker for having my 6.

Really appreciated Homer Simpson sharing about Bart Simpson at the end.  Bart has dealt with some foot surgeries and he said that this workout was definitely out of his comfort zone.  T claps to Bart Simpson!  Keep it up brother.

This workout once again furthered my distaste for Thrusters.  IMO this is the toughest exercise we do we your form is correct.  Need to keep on putting these into my workouts.
