Circle of Trust

On Friday, I was getting ready to head out for the weekend. My 3 daughters had a half-day, and my M got a text that some parents wanted to do a clap out for the 5th graders (my oldest’s grade). I made a comment that “I don’t mean to be unsentimental, but I just want to get them and head to the lake, I don’t want to be hanging around for a long time”

My wife called me on my comment, and I am thankful that she did. She respectfully reminded me that this was not about me and it was not for me. It was for our girls. And she reminded me to not rush through these times because our oldest is already heading to middle school.

I am thankful that she kept me in check. It was a great way to start the weekend. The kids loved the celebration. Parents had music playing, signs made, confetti cannons, etc. It set the tone for a great weekend together! If I had rushed it, everyone would have missed out and in a cranky mood. Remember to take the time you have with your loved ones. It is really more important than anything else you may have going on.

Naked Man Moleskin

Thank you to Wreck it Ralph for having my 6! Also, be careful when you Q a Colosseum workout if you see the sanitation truck pull in. Maybe the worst smell you could experience.
