  • Strength in Vulnerability. Do you believe in coincidence or things happen for a reason?  For me, it is a belief in things happen for a reason.  Two Sunday’s ago I led a men’s Bible Study group & a part of that discussion was carrying each other’s burdens just like you men have done today carrying extra weight as a symbolic gesture of carrying someone’s burdens.  During that meeting I did an exercise where I had asked all the men to share a burden they were carrying anonymously with me.  I wrote down each burden & at the meeting I symbolically pinned each burden to a cross showing the men I would help carry the burden for them.  24 hours later I was on a flight to Charlotte to be with my Mom who experienced a medical emergency & was fighting for her life in intensive care.  Over those 24 hours men from this group, my work, my family, etc. reached out to offer assistance, tell me not to worry about work, picked up my Q’s, etc.  They were carrying my burden’s.  Prior to F3 this would have never happened b/c I would have never been brave enough to be vulnerable.  Men it is okay to be vulnerable & I would go as far as to say you are actually showing weakness by not being vulnerable.  I urge you to be vulnerable, to share your burden’s b/c you never know the strength you can find in others.  Aye!
