Circle of Trust

CoT – You don’t have any haters doing more than you.

Think about that. There is a guy right now running 75 miles a day for 40 days from the West Coast to the East Coast. Do you think he is spending his time commenting on your social media to troll, hate or call you out?

Another guy has been running 100 miles a week for 205 weeks in a row. Do you think he is worried about hating on you or putting you down?

The point is, the people that are doing the work don’t spend the time tearing down others. They are obsessed with being the best that they can be and more often than not bringing others with them.

When I was younger I had a goal to go from walking 3 miles a day to running a mile a day. On the very first day, I kid you not, I was on a busy road and I had a car pull up to a light and a kid yelled “loser” or something to that effect at me. I was stunned by it and it bothered me enough to stop running for months.

Which is odd because during my football days I attributed trash talking to wasting energy and would let my work ethic do the talking for me. I never got into verbal battles in practice or the games. That same situation now, I would probably smile, give a thumbs up and let it motivate me.

I definitely hear the haters and remember them because I will continue to outwork them and will silently win in the long run. Long ago decided to be a magnet for positivity in being a fanboy of others and their goals because it’s more challenging to do that than to simply hate on someone doing something amazing.

Positivity call outs (which I love this)

Lots to unpack here.

Giselle posting at his first Black Diamond and absolutely loving it.

Meta took the challenge I gave him that he has never been to one of my Q’s. He was all effort and positivity then enitre hour.

Foreclosure running 2.5 miles in the rain/ wind with me for ECR coming off a fantastic race weekend.

Picasso coming over during a Thang to make sure I remembered to give instructions for when PAX finished to keep them moving. Excellent SiteQ stuff right there.

JFD and Blue Gill making their returns to Black Diamond filled my bucket today.

Spike Horn for logging his 200th post and also attending my Q for the first time.

I was dialed in, had a good plan but really struggled on the execution. I can point to excuses but nobody cares, I need to deliver. Candor and feedback during AAR and afterwards was appreciated and I’ll get better for it. What’s next?
