CoT:
- On Thursday my oldest child became my first teenager as my daughter turned 13. Today we ventured out further & further as the reps/years got bigger but we always came back to the starting point. As our kids get older & older, they will venture out in several directions from you as their center, like the middle of a compass. As they venture out, they will encounter hardships in their life like our exercises/reps got harder today as we got “older” & ventured further out. That is why it is critical as leaders of our families that early in our kids’ lives, we are establishing those core values, life skills, & the love that they always know where you the compass are no matter how far they venture away. I think about it a lot as my kids get older & I could not be prouder of my daughter & the core values she has built with the help of her mother & me: her faithfulness as Jesus as her savior, her love/kindness for others, & her bravery to try new things. My challenge to you men is are you building that compass for your kids? As life gets hard & they might feel lost do they know where to turn to get them back on track? Keep being leaders men in your families & those you impact & provide that compass. Aye!
