Introduction
It felt like a convergence! 21 men together this am for a RUCK though the neighborhood near the Colosseum! Plus Feta brought out an FNG – Parcor!
Warm-O-Rama
Phelps, arm circles, calve stretches
The Thang
We headed on a loop down Leewood though the neighborhood heading south, West on Easy Street, to River Rd North back onto Renwick East until we hit the path by the power lines then headed north. At that point, time was ticking so we detoured thru the field back to the flags in time for a 5 minute Mary.
Mary- High plank, Cobra, paper Boys, pickle pushers, single Merkin ring of fire right on time for Recover,Recover.
Circle of Trust
I emphasized the importance for us to be at the upcoming Forgotten Warrior 5K. It has special meaning to me and our friends. Former veteran/ F3 Southside Chicken Hawk (Miguel) struggled with PTSD from his time in the middle east. He was not able to cope and took his own life. Last year his name was memorialized on the wall at the memorial.
TruGreen provided us with a prayer for individual intentions and for us all.
Naked Man Moleskin
Our FNG who was brought out by Feta. His story was one of youthful insanity. He was named Parcor due to a crazy incident of him and his buddy as well as his wife doing parcor moves that left him falling and breaking both legs, shattering femur and having to have rods implanted in his legs. Great to have him out! During the ruck ( wearing 30#) for his first time, he was ruffling a bit!! AAR was to emphasize the importance of a having a plan, having a route that works for the time allowed, and it’s safe for the PAX. I will continue to improve on my Q’s Thanks MEN, for such a great showing this morning!
