Introduction

This entire beatdown focused entirely on the core. I decided to bring out all the equipment and accessories I accumulated in my home gym during COVID. We basically did 45 minutes of Mary but without any of the standard Mary exercises.

The Thang

Tabata style workout with 10 stations. 60 seconds of exercises, 15 seconds rest. We completed the circuit twice.

  1. One arm plank wave with battle rope
  2. Reverse crunch with 35lb ruck as counterweight
  3. Love handles with 35lb ketlebell
  4. Windshield wipers with coupon as counterweight
  5. Side plank with twist (Nolan Ryan) with dumbell
  6. Ab rollout with ab roller wheel
  7. Merking pull thru with 35lb kettlebell
  8. Stability ball crunch with stability ball
  9. Overhead slams with slam ball
  10. Deadlift with 70lb sandbag

Circle of Trust

I talked about vulnerability. It is often diificult for men to voluntarily be vulnerable in relationships. I certainly can relate. In fact, it is an easpect of my marriage that my M and I are working on. It’s scary at first, especially with ones we love the most, but the benefits of emotionally exposing yourself far outweighs the uncertainty of the results. It also applies to PAX when they Q their first workout. That too can be scary when you don’t know how well the outcome will be received. Whether in marriage with your M or in the Gloom with your F3 brothers, feel confident that you’re safe, supported, and loved.
