Introduction

This morning was a cold 5 Degrees out with a real feel around -10.  As I planned this workout I wanted to insure we kept moving and gave the crew a fighting chance to stay warm.  As it turned out, this was not a problem.  I arrived to the AO a few minutes early to check for ice and determined that the conditions we perfect for what I had planed.  No need to pivot.  It’s go time!

Warm-O-Rama

In my pre-blast I asked PAX to ruck up straight away.  I wanted to do WoR in our rucks so that we can keep gloves and ruck on the whole morning.  This would help keep hand warm and hopefully prevent any of us from breaking our ruck clips.

Once we circled up we goy a count, confirmed phones, CPR Certs, and immediately went on a ruffle to get the blood moving.  Upon returning we then completed:

10x Tappy Taps IC

10x Abe Vagotas IC

10x Michael Phelps IC

10x Tie Fighters, each Leg IC

Then moved to Thang 1

The Thang

Thang 1 – Indian Ruffle

Broke crew into two columns and Indian rucked around big lot.  Some of the guys acted brand new, but once we got into the second turn, we got the kinks work out 🙂

After two laps, we all had the blood moving and were ready for the main event

Thang 2 – Ruffle w/ Dora

PAX1 Ruffled from flags past cars and back

PAX2 stayed and chipped away at the following until partner returned and they switched rolls:

100-Merkins

200-OHP

300-Squats

400-Curls (No one got past curls)

500-Grady Corns

6MOM

With only a few minutes remaining, we circled up, removed our rucks, and did a few stretches

10x Good Mornings IC

Circle of Trust

Challenges, some in my control and others outside of it have kept me from hitting the gloom as often as I would like.  Hitting my 900th post this morning was a goo opportunity for me to publicly remind myself of the following:

Discipline is greater than motivation – Stacking small habits through being disciplined will take you farther than waiting to be motivated to do something.  Motivation comes and goes.  Be strong enough to do what you need to do when you need to do it.

If you are tired of feeling like you are always starting over, then STOP fucking quitting.

Naked Man Moleskin

Id like to thank all of the PAX who reached out to congratulate me on my 900th post milestone, and for the PAX who braved the weather this morning, trusting that I would have a plan to keep them warm.  Without all of you I would NOT have made it past my first week.  See you all at 1000!
