Introduction
As I arrived four PAX were returning from their “Hell Week” EC run. I was feeling a little pressure to make sure the actual run club lived up to the hell week hype…I think we did ok!

Sling shot run to the PCHS parking lot. After partnering up, one partner stood at the top of the small berm at the edge of the lot while the other partner sprinted to the first light poll and back. Each partner took a turn running to the next further light poll while the other did SSHs. Once we complete the full lot, then we started again, only this time with the partner that had missed out on running to the further poll, begin the round by running to the further poll.
After we finished our fun in the lot, we did a sling shot run to the nearby footbridge. With the same partner, we did a little catch up run. First partner got a 10 count head start heading to the loop turnaround. Then the other partner would attempt to catch up. At the loop partner switched and did the same back to the bridge. Then we did a slight shot run back to the flags. During Mary the PAX held plank while each man took his turn doing a markin an then running once around the circle. We then finished with a some streching.

Confession…I hate Kohl’s Cash! I don’t relish shopping for clothes, especially for my kids. After my wife passed away, that was one of the things that I had to take primary responsibility for that I just really don’t care for. Last night I found myself with some expiring Kohl’s Cash and was quickly trying to add a few things to my online cart so I could go to bed. Then I realized that this was foolish. I didn’t really need anything right then and I was likely going to spend more than the value of the “free” Kohl’s cash anyway.
It occurred to me that a lot of our bad habits in life operate on the same principal as Kohl’s Cash. They artificially prompt you to think you have too much invested in this something to just walk away. Maybe it’s an unhealthy relationship, perhaps it is a job you have had for years that make you miserable, maybe you need to stop drinking but your expensive assortment of liquor it making that extra difficult. Or could even be small things like giving up on a season of a show you once enjoyed but now don’t, and that you could instead be spending that time with your M or 2.0s. The point is, be aware of those things in your life you have invested your time and treasure in, and ask yourself whether they are bringing you value, or whether you are continuing them because you feel invested. If you’re unsure, ask yourself what you could or would like to replace them with.

Wet, warm and breezy. Very thankful for the beautiful morning for RC and for the men who joined me ITG!
