Introduction

It was a cool morning as 5 men headed out on an EC run & all was good until we almost took out the random man in black. We made it back safely & had some strong mummble chatter & smelling the beautiful smells of a freshly brewed Hanger pot of coffee waiting for us after we put our work in.

The Thang

THANG #1:  Reverse Indian Run

  • Indian Run to the Bridge. Person in front of the line peels off & does 10 merkins.  When you complete your 10 merkins you sprint to the back of the line.  After you catch the 6 the next person in front steps off, does the 10 merkins, rinse & repeat.

 

THANG #2:  11’s on the Bridge

  • Start at the bottom of the hill & do 10 Mountain Merkins (4 count mountain climber followed by 1 merkin)
  • Run up to the bridge, shuffle across the bridge, then run down the other side
  • On the other side you will do 1 Lt Dan (Squat, Lunge with each leg)
  • Rinse & repeat up & over equally 11 reps each time (next set would be 9 & 2)

 

THANG #3:  Reverse Indian Run

  • Indian Run back to the flags. Person in front of the line peels off & does 5 squats.  When you complete your 5 squats you sprint to the back of the line.  After you catch the 6 the next person in front steps off, does the 5 squats, rinse & repeat.

Naked Man Moleskin

CoT:

You saw in my pre-blast that today is the 301st day of the calendar year.  My ask to all of you was to reflect on what you have done/accomplished in the 1st 300 days.  Have you accelerated in your life, decelerated, or remained status quo (which in F3 we know means you are decelerating).  I personally have been proud of what I have accomplished these first 300 days, completing 75 hard to kickoff the year, finishing my 3rd GrowRuck, closing in on my 1000 miles of EC running/rucking.  I also have been more engaged with my family than I have ever been reconnecting with my wife, coaching my kids sports, & being a better overall Dad.  However this time of year is always hard.  Lots of mammom commitments, lots of jesters with the Queen. & overall burntout syndrome causing me to go back into a Sad Clown.  My focus is to not allow myself to fall back into some of those patterns.  Allow myself to enjoy the fun of the holidays but do not allow 1 or 2 days of bad choices to become 65 days of gluttony.  My challenge to all of you men is to hold me accountable.  If you don’t hear or see from me check in on me & make sure I am not becoming that Sad Clown again & I will do the same for you if you need it.  AYE!
