Introduction
Nowhere to hide…the weather didn’t look that great, but that didn’t curtail this EPIC Run Club from taking place.
Note: There was nothing EPIC about it…just wanted to make it sound special in the preblast
Warm-O-Rama
The PAX in attendance were led through some SSHs, some foot pulls (engage hamstrings), some good mornings, and a few air squats before shading over to the track. (Jordache gave a few grunts when YHC mentioned we’d be on the track)
The Thang
The plan was to just run. You do you. Go fast, go slow…Just run. I did mention to the PAX that YHC may invoke some disruption at some point. The first disruption was initiated after about 10 minutes of running where we picked up the 6 and then had to run one lap backwards before we could continue running forward again. After the PAX completed, we returned to running forward. At around 0550, another disruption was introduced where the PAX had to again run backwards, but this time it was only one straight away. The PAX returned running forward until 0555 at which time we returned to the flags for some final stretching
Circle of Trust
Once Six Sheets was able to dry off his phone enough to access it, he read the announcements (even the quote of the week that Boston Butt inquired about). TaPs were sent out
Naked Man Moleskin
As YHC didn’t want the PAX to get any more wet then they already were….the message was short. YHC just brought up all the interesting Week 5 Pop-Up challenge videos and that there was an overwhelming theme of the PAX loving the camaraderie that F3 offers. YHC just expounded on this by saying that it is the camaraderie that makes the military unique. Knowing that the people to your left and right have your back….it is the glue. Fellowship, camaraderie…it is what motivates many of us to keep coming back out in the gloom. Don’t take that camaraderie for granted…it is special. It is this attribute within F3 that is hard to convey to those outside our ranks and it is the hard sell to those sad clowns, but once we experience it and embrace it, it is what keeps all of us from going back to how we used to be. Embrace this free gift we have, but more importantly go give it away!
