Circle of Trust

Talk about how kids are more resilient than we give them credit for. After a hell of a week at work in which everything and anything was thrown at my students they just kept bouncing back and showing up each day. It would have been easy for them to just take the week off and hide but their strength made it easier for the staff to push though our difficult times.

also talked about my son who struggled immensely in his XC race on Tuesday in the heat. He was miserable, overheated and wanted to quit the last 200 yards. I gave him that look and encouragement and said you find a way to finish however that is. He did finish although not his best time. Somehow two days later in similar conditions he ran on of the better races of the year and looked like he could run a few more miles. I asked what was different and he said after finishing on Tuesday there was no way I wasn’t  finishing this one today. Again kids somehow always find a way to bounce back and show us that sometimes they can do more than we give them credit for.

Naked Man Moleskin

Again shout out to the men who showed up to put some work in. 2.65 miles with PT on a Friday is not easy and each Pax gave me maximum effort which is all I can ask for.
