Introduction

It was a beautiful morning as I rushed out with Mr. Drippy in towe to take off on a quick solo EC to a park not used very often where I set up for my Q.  On arrival back the mummble chatter was high but the men were ready to go.

Warm-O-Rama

Warm O Rama:

  • Red Bull Smurf Jacks (12 IC)
  • Annies (12 IC each side)
  • Sprinkler (12 IC)
  • Goofballs (12 IC)
  • Grady Corns (12 IC)

 

The Thang

Thang 1:  Indian Run w/ Medicine Ball

  • Indian run to playground & other side of neighborhood. PAX in the back sprints to front with medicine ball then passes to PAX behind him.  Ball keeps passing back until last guy gets it then sprints to the front.  If medicine ball drops everyone stops for 5 burpees on Q down.

 

Thang 2:  Oh the Places You’ll Go

  • DORA workout with a partner:
    • Partner #1 runs following the path over to the basketball court baseline & completes a suicide (baseline to free throw back, to 3 point back, to half court back then run back to partner
    • Partner #2 starts on the exercises (partners combine to finish total reps)
      • 100 Derkins (feet on swings)
      • 200 Box Jumps
      • 300 LBC’s

 

Thang 3:  Repeat Thang #1 heading back to the AO

  • Sprints around the circle with medicine ball while everyone does burpees

Oh, The Places You’ll Go is a story of a journey with a nameless character, as they navigate the ups and downs of life.  On their own, full of excitement and anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead. They are encouraged to explore the world, make their own choices, and take charge of their life.  As the character progresses, they encounter the ‘waiting place’, a metaphor for stagnation, where people are stuck in limbo, waiting for something to happen. Dr. Seuss uses this to remind us that life is about taking action and not just waiting for things to happen. encounters various obstacles, symbolized by colorful and imaginative creatures and landscapes. They face the ‘slump’, a period of feeling down and discouraged, and the ‘waiting place’, where they feel stuck and directionless. These challenges are a representation of the hurdles we all face in life, and the story encourages us to persevere and keep moving forward.   Dr. Seuss emphasizes the importance of resilience and determination, reminding us that we have the power to overcome any obstacle. As the story progresses, the protagonist learns to embrace change and adapt to new situations. They are reminded that life is full of unexpected twists and turns, and it’s important to be flexible and open-minded. The character is also encouraged to celebrate their successes, no matter how small, and to take pride in their achievements.  ends on a hopeful note, with the protagonist realizing that they are in charge of their own destiny. They are reminded that they have the power to shape their future and that the possibilities are endless.
