Introduction
It was a beautiful evening for a boot camp, temperatures were at mid 70’s.
A lot on mind with work as I had a big presentation that I had to prepare for tomorrow as well as tonight’s CoT.

- What are your thoughts about canceling evening bootcamps?
- What are your thoughts or how does it make you feel to hear others say that evening BC’s are “easy”?
- How does it make you feel to hear that evening BC’s should not count as posts because they are too “easy”?
Well I’m going to tell you how it makes me feel, it pisses me off! When I started evening BC’s at El Coyote my inention was to bring the same intensity of a morning BC to the evenings so that the MEN that couldn’t make it out in the morning could experience the same type of BC that we do in the mornings.
For the Q’s, no BC should be laid back or made easy, as we declare in our disclaimer, modify the exercise if you need to but do not modify your effort.
If you are one of these men that feels that the BC’s are too easy, then maybe it’s time to level up and make the most of the BC’s. So maybe next time add an extra 10-20lbs in your ruck sack for a ruck, shift gears on your bike to make it harder to pedal during a bike club, add reps during coupon/bodyweight exercises, or maybe even come out for an EC. I think we can all agree that we are all not at the same fitness level, and that’s okay. But telling other PAX that evening BC’s are easy is a negative reflection on the Q as well as yourself.
If you join the evening BC’s more for the camaradarie vs. the fitness, that’s fine too, but again, don’t tell other PAX that evening BC’s are easy or laid back because YOU decided not to give maximum effort.
Let’s be more conscious about the things we do and say, and how it may affect others. So my challenge to the PAX is to find ways to maximize the BC whether you’re the Q or not, so that you don’t feel that it’s an easy bootcamp.
Naked Man Moleskin
I had put so much thought into what I wanted to say this evening. I didn’t want to come off as an asshole nor did I want to offend anyone. But I felt that it had to be said and standards needed to be set for evening BC’s.
There was mixed emotions and responses to my CoT. Some Men that were joking at the beginning of the BC apologized as we ended, which they didn’t have to. Others felt that the BC I lead showed that they were not as fit as they thought they were. Others talked about adding a 2nd evening option at El Coyote because they wanted more!
All in all, I think everyone understood the point I was trying to make.
