The Thang
Ruck down the road, over the spine, pick up the path and follow it east on the south side of tennis courts out to Wynnstone. Stop for PT of Arm Circles – Forward and Back, Pretzel Taps (AAR – not awesome with a ruck on), Moroccan Night Clubs, Seal Claps and Cherry Pickers. A good shoulder burner!
Resume the Ruck. North on Wynnstone to US 52 and across to the town center. Stop at Memorial Fountain for PT: Squats, Dirkins (AAR – again, not awesome with Ruck on) and step ups. Then back down Wynnstone to the path into the park. Around the north side of the pond and back to the flags for Mary.

Circle of Trust
Statistically, women outlive men. YHC theory is because they are smarter than us. Typical man wakes up with a pain and says to himself, “aw, give it a few days, it’ll get better.” Typical woman wakes up with a pain and she says, “I need to go see a Dr.”
Case in point, I spent the summer in a boot because I am an idiot. I hurt my foot on 5/18. I knew it was hurt and needed an x-ray, but my dumb-ass decided instead that it would be OK to just tie my shoe a little tighter and give it a couple of weeks to get better.
Then when I ran into Jordache in a boot and he showed me the x-ray of his foot with a little hair-line fracture in the same bone that I had hurt, I finally decided I should get a x-ray – 7 WEEKS LATER!!!!
That afternoon, Wed 7/03, I went to Emediate Care in Shorewood, got an x-ray and saw that my fifth metatarcil was still in two separate pieces. Went to the ortho on Mon 7/08. Dr. first congratulated me on such a nice break, said he hadn’t seen one like that since Medical School. Second thing he told me was no surgery. Third thing was that I needed to wear the boot (sub-text “don’t be a dumb-ass!”
So I spent the rest of the summer in the boot, all the time. Got out of the shower in the morning, put on the boot. Getting ready for bed at night, take off the boot, for 6 more weeks. I’m now 15 weeks into an injury that should have been allowed to heal in 6 and will likely have a knotty foot for the rest of my life,
Point is, listen to your body. Don’t let your male ego idiot get in the way of what you know you should do and get the proper medical treatment sooner rather than later.
Aye!
Naked Man Moleskin
I actually have the picture of when i hurt my foot and the soul of my shoe is perpendicular to the ground. It’s a nice slide show with the x-ray showing the bone in my foot broken diagonally into two pieces. Ask me sometime and I’ll show you.
