Introduction

Got to the beatdown early to set up my three stations. Was hoping to catch a ride on the EC express with the 4:40 runners but missed it. Fortunate enough to have a whol separate group of pax doing some EC runs/pull-ups.

It was inspiring to see so many PAX getting at before the beatdown.

The Thang

Split PAX into three groups (group 1, group 2, group 3). Groups will go to the correlating station (station 1, station 2, station 3).

Pax will move to the next station after they have completed 3 rounds of those workouts. It is possible for one group to move faster and move to a station that is currently occupied. That is ok as long as they make room for eachother and don’t interfere with the groups sets.

Groups will take turns choosing a leader to call reps. Reps are to be done together as a group, aka family style.

Station 1 (repeat 3x):

  • Coupon Squats (20)
  • Iron v-ups (15)
  • Skull Crushers (30)

Station 2 (repeat 3x):

  • Thrusters (15)
  • Shakira’s (10 IC)
  • Diamond merkins (20)

Station 3 (repeat 3x):

  • Blockies (15)
  • Big boys (20)
  • Dips (30)

No Mary.

“I am not my thoughts. I am what I do”

I shared with the PAX a book I read called “Unf*ck your life” in which the writer explains the importance of our inner-dialogue and the profound impact it has on the shaping of our perspective, emotions, and ultimately our character. The author argues that with practice and intention we can take control of our thoughts, replace our negative scripts, and become masters over our emotions/perspectives to improve our lives.

The beatdown today was themed off of the 3 self-affirmations from the book. See details below.

  1. The chapter “I Am Willing” in *Unfuck Your Life* highlights the transformative power of willingness in personal growth and empowerment. It emphasizes that being willing means being open to change, embracing new experiences, and actively engaging in life’s challenges. This mindset fosters resilience, helps overcome internal resistance and fears, and encourages a positive outlook. By being willing, individuals can explore their potential, pursue their goals with determination, and lead a more fulfilling and authentic life.
  2. The chapter “I Am Wired to Win” in *Unfuck Your Life* explores the idea that our brains are naturally designed to achieve goals and succeed, but it emphasizes that we need to consciously align our thoughts and actions with our true desires to harness this innate wiring. It argues that by setting clear, intentional goals and maintaining a positive mindset, we can leverage our brain’s inherent drive to win, ultimately leading to greater personal and professional success.
  3. The chapter “I Am Relentless” in *Unfuck Your Life* underscores the importance of unwavering persistence and determination in achieving success. It stresses that being relentless means continuously pushing forward despite obstacles, setbacks, or failures, and maintaining a strong, resilient mindset. This relentless pursuit of goals, coupled with a refusal to give up, empowers individuals to overcome challenges and ultimately achieve their desired outcomes.

Naked Man Moleskin

Storm chaser EH’d me after Forecloser’s Coffeteria to put in some extra miles. It was such a beautiful morning that I just couldn’t resist. Out in another 2.7M and had a great conversation about Faith.
