Move those feet during open, Hamstring stretches 10 count, Good Mornings in cadence to 10, Arm Circles in cadence to 10, Michael Phelps in cadence to 10, 10 Pretzel Taps in cadence, High Plank Calf Stretches 10 count each leg, Motivators from 5.
The Thang
Led 9 pax with @Cutler on the 6 through a sweaty humid 3 station + run. Pax took turns calling out cadence and counts.
Station 1 : 20 chest press, 20 Skull Crushers, 15 OHP, 25 Curls for dem girlz.
Bear Crawl to Station 2, approx 30′.
Station 2: 20 Imperial Walkers -cadence, 20- Lunge n place (10e leg), 20 Merkins ( 2nd time through pax increase numbers to “enhance” the beat down and juicy-ness level.), 20 Air Squats.
Duck Walk to Station 3, approx 50′.
Station 3: Pavilion- 15 Dips, 20 Step Ups (10e leg), 10 Derkins, 20 Bump that butt on the bench Squats.
Run to bridge and back to station 1, rinse& repeat. Time allowed for a whole new round ( again with some reps being slightly increased on the fly) 2nd run to and fro the bridge. Returning to station 1, to cap off with 1 more round of arms&shoulders enhancement.
Return to center for Mary.
Mary: 15 LBC, 15 Freddie Mercuries, 10 – 2 second hold Pickle Pushers, hold plank about 40 seconds.
Circle of Trust
After a weekend out in the country taking part in an annual Redneck party, we were witness to a young man who playing in a slip and slide kickball game. That young man skid head first into a base ( an inflatable baby pool) and strike another person fracturing 3 C vertebra. He immediately lost all feeling below his waist. It took almost 20 minutes for an ambulance to arrive and then the trip to Morris hospital. Once there they determined it is a high level trauma that they could not care for and requested helivac to Loyola in Maywood. Sure to location storms they were unable to transport him that way, so an ambulance had to bring him all the way up there.
My opinion on this was to be careful and make good decisions when there are others who rely on us at home, work, etc.. Of course have fun, but weigh the risks involved in the choices we make that can negatively impact another’s livelihood.
Prayed for his safe recovery, and for God to shine his light on those who struggle with depression and anxiety. Emphasizing on children and young adults as well as their parents and family to give them the strength to encourage them there is light at the end of the tunnel and to stay strong for each other.
