Introduction
It was a warm & “dead air” morning as I rolled into the Colosseum. Cinderella was first there & appeared slightly concerned as I unloaded paver bricks at the flag location as he planted his flag. The regulars rolled in along with the SSHC (South Side Hard Chargers) so I knew I needed to bring the heat at this Black Diamond. We quickly got to work!

CoT:
My X-Stepfather passed away on July 5th. We had a strained relationship. That does not discount that he was a part of life through my college & early adult life. While we never saw eye to eye on many things he brought my mom happiness for a short period of time. I am a believer that all relationships, good or bad, produce knowledge & learning. While not at the time there were lessons, I learned & had me reflect on a section of a book that the F3 founder Dredd wrote in his book “The Minivan Centurion”.
The creator endows men with three unique characteristics: courage, strength, and commitment. Courage is not fearlessness, but rather the setting aside of fear to turn hardship into grace. Strength is not just the physical presence, but the emotional durability required to resist great force or pressure. Commitment is not just unwavering loyalty to others but the unflinching determination to place their needs above one’s own.
Together, courage, strength and commitment form the essential package of manhood that is hardwired into every male of the species. Like the sliding doors on a minivan, it is our standard equipment. A child is born as a boy, but it is through the Three Dots of courage, strength, and commitment that he may flourish into a man in full capable of discharging the primary purpose for which his creator formed him from mud.
