Circle of Trust

PART 1: This workout was dedicated to my daughter, Emma, who graduates from high school on Sunday. Recently, I’ve thought a lot about walking her to school on her first day of first grade, 12 years ago. Sadly, I think even more about all the days I haven’t been there in-person since. As a divorced dad, I carry a lot of that guilt around with me still today. I think about all of the missed opportunities that are now lost to the past. But, I also recently discovered a thought-provoking graphic that reminds us of how many opportunities are still open to us today and for the rest of our lives. I encourage us all to keep moving forward and to remain open to the possibilities we can’t necessarily see around us right now. They’re still there waiting for us.

PART 2: I wanted to give Emma something special and valuable for her graduation. I also didn’t want her growth to be limited by the advice I could give her, so I asked for help from the people in her life and many people in my life–including the men of F3. I asked for advice, tips, lessons to share with Emma and I’ve been so happy with the response. As I’ve seen in F3P every time someone needs anything–from help moving to a recommendation for a plumber, the men of F3P eagerly step up. I appreciate everyone’s wisdom and I know she will, too.

Having character means doing the right thing, however big or small–not because you have to or when anyone else can see you–but rather, because it’s the right thing to do every time, anytime.
