Circle of Trust
There are a lot of things that keep PAX coming away from or going back to the gloom. As Blue Gill use to say, “You never know what a guy is going through.” The MEN in F3 will support you and lift you up but it’s your responsibility to be vulnerable and open. You don’t know what you don’t know. Today I shared what F3 has, in part, meant to me.
Losing my father to cancer in 2020 made me realize how few milestones we shared. He and my mom had left to Florida right after I graduated high school. The was pretty much the end of a consistent relationship. We had a good relationship and we loved each other, but out of sight out of mind was how Dad operated. I’m not very different in that regard so I entered manhood OYO. Now, at 38, I reflect on our limited time together and his absence during significant moments as a young man and a young father.
Finding this group has given me dozens upon dozens of strong, masculine father-like figures that hold me to a high standard day in and day out, teaching me what it means to be a strong man, father, husband, and friend. That’s a big part of what keeps bringing me back.
