Walls of Jericho

Its Biblical and it will hurt… OK just as Joshua was instructed to do. WOJ usually is performed around a large building, pick 7 different exercises and complete 7 reps of each and run one lap around the building. Complete for 7 laps.

Exercises were:

O – Overhead Press (7x)

L – Little Baby Flutter Crunch/LBFC (7x – 4 count)

D – Dips (7x)

M – Manmaker Merkin (7x)

A – Alternating Shoulder Taps (7x – 4 count)

I – Imperial Squat Walkers (7x – 4 count)

D – Dying Cockroach (7x – 4 count)

Mary:

Held plank while WWE song from Chris Jericho, Break the Walls Down played. PAX held plank for entire song and when it said “Break the Walls Down” you do 1 Merkin (7 total).

Circle of Trust

In the Bible, God had Joshua lead the Israelites to Jericho. Jericho was surrounded by a great wall/fortress around the city. God told Joshua to have his men march around the city for 6 days, then on the 7th day they were to march around the city 7 times, blow their trumpets and then yell really loud and the walls of Jericho would crumble down allowing the Israelites to enter.

My COT focused around the theme of breaking down the walls or overcoming obstacles that seem too difficult. We may come across challenges in life that we have no clue how to overcome but we need to  trust in God and persevere to get through them.

I read a few quotes:

“Your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep going. Tough situations build strong people in the end.”

“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” – Michael Jordan

“Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
